THE MAKING OF A SAVILE ROW FRAME
The historic Algha Works factory in London’s East End was home to our eyewear from 1932 until 2020, operating with the original machinery brought over from Rathenow, Germany by founder Max Wiseman, who created the company in 1898. In 2020, the ancient machines were taken to Italy for refurbishment by Cadore’s legendary craftsmen. Now we relaunch our authentic range from a new Italian facility, offering unprecedented quality and attention to detail in line with the world’s finest eyewear.
EXPERTLY CRAFTED
Each Rolled Gold frame is made by wrapping and bonding a layer of solid 18Kt gold around an inner Monel core, which adds longevity and strength.
